Title: Three Winds of Death
Author: Bennett M. Guthrie

Contents: The Sage of the 503rd Parachute Regimental Combat Team in the South Pacific. The 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment was the first airborne infantry regiment in the United States armed forces. This book is the story of its members, the brave paratroopers who were dropped from the air into enemy territory to help win World War II in the South Pacific. Author Bennett M. Guthrie, a veteran of the unit's battles, takes the reader through the 503rd's training at Fort Benning in 1940, the many battled with the hardened Japanese forces, and the famous jump into Corregidor, among others. This well-told account of the little-reported fighting by American airborne troopers in the Pacific is a must for any military enthusiast.
