About the Author: | David A. Haberman is a Professor of Journalism and has been Chair of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska since 1958. His primary teaching areas are mass communication law and news reporting. He is faculty adviser for the student-edited weekly university newspaper. He holds an A.B. degree (cum laude) in journalism from Marquette University in his native Milwaukee; an M.A. in political science from the University of Wisconsin (Madison), where he was a Knapp Fellow in 1954-55; and, a J.D. from Creighton University. He is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association and has served on its Continuing Education and Joint Bar Media committees. |
